When I first got my Nikon FM camera I never checked the light seals, they were bad apparently... Luckily for me I only took 2 rolls of images and then got the film developed, the first was on expired kodak film which apparently was not stored in a fridge and I under exposed them. The second was new film (Kodak Ektar I think) and some turned out ok even with the leak. I did buy some felt matting off ebay and perform a repair job in the bush when I used up the 2nd roll of film.

Here is a before the fix.

And after...

Looks like a good job on the replacing the seals. Great photos too.

Loving the colour and definition. How do you scan your images? With your own scanner? My frustration with film has been that of the three places that developed and scanned my films, they all pushed the contrast right up and blow out much of the detail.

Soon I'll upload some Silbersalz35 I took last summer. What I liked about them is the high quality of the scanning included as part of the price. But Silbersalz35 does need some colour correction.

Absolutely beautiful colours. I thought this must be a Kodak film due to the warmth and was surprised to see it was Fuji.

I do all my own scanning, usually with an Epson V750 or V500. With either of those scanners it's fairly easy to get better scan quality than 90% of the lab scans being done nowadays.
I wrote a detailed guide to the scanning method I use. It might seem complicated at first, but it's not that difficult once you start doing it.
