Anyhow, I'm rescanning some negs from my first months as an SLR user with my stone-cold manual MX.

Fields by Lake Tekapo, New Zealand 2006. Fuji Superia 400 Xtra

Pretty sure this is George St, Downtown Sydney Australia 2006. Fuji Superia 400 Xtra

Ektar 100

Colors are all over the place in the roll I received. Scanning is not a piece of cake. Specially when the lab did not cut the negative and did not put them on a jacket but rolled with an elastic band!

Anyway shot with the MX. I need to try the Ektar with the LX when it arrives.

Just ordered some negative cleaner...

Cheers,

Luc

Thank you. I have 2 me supers. One I keep 200 speed film and the other 400 speed film. The one with 200 speed film, I have the M40F/2.8 that is superb at F/8-F11. I try and avoid F16 though many times I don't have much of a choice. I just bought another ME SUPER that I am going to have 800 speed film in it.

I think the me super is the finest 35mm film camera made...''ok, let the lynching begin ''
Well the math does not add-up.

Let's see:
1) Color 100/160
2) Color 400
3) Color 800
4) B&W 125/100/50
5) B&W 400

Here we go you need 5 ME Super

Cheers,

Luc

Luc, beautiful shot.

London Drugs is disappointing me. I've been to 2 different stores. First, they apparently didn't dry the negatives and "had to run them through again". This made the colors bleed and run into the next image. That was the Kingsway and Nelson store. The latest at Byrne and Marine cut the negatives into 5's, their sleeves are only long enough to hold them in 4's. So they were hanging out inside the bag they handed me. Luckily they didn't get scratched.

Once again Javier, nice work.

Good to see you making use of the 28mm..... I remember some of your earlier stuff seemed to be taken from more of a distance with wide and normal lenses. I guess a place like Venice Beach is conducive for short range photography, but nonetheless, I prefer the perspective and feel you're producing with this focal length.

Thank you. I tend to go in spurts though. These days I choose a lens and stick to it for the day. By doing this, it makes me work for the shot. Today I was out with my Spoty and 35mm lens, tomorrow I will be out with my 55mm and see what I get. I have to pick up some parts in downtown LA tomorrow so I will see what I can get. One of the reasons I like wide lenses is because since I shoot between F/8 and F/11, the hyperfocal settings are very forgiving and I have room to crop and straighten, with out loosing the shot.

I have the same one and it is an amazing lens indeed. but for some reason it does not want to mount on to my digital bodies. Any ideas on why?
