Fuji ended Velvia production when some chemical components became unavailable.
They later introduced a reformulated version of the film.

Some provia 100 cross processed and used with the DA18-55. I kind of like this rendering.

Hi All,
I did some BW film in my own "lab" (small room in the basement of my parents home) in the 70's, but now normally use my K10D. Still, I sometimes miss the whole process and excitement of developing my own images and also the whole "shooting experiecne", so I thought I try some film shots again. This picture was done using T-MAX 100, scanned on a Microtek scanner.

Comments on the image, and what you feel can be improved are appreciated (I know I need to be more careful with dust). I liked the "re-born" film experience and plan to do more trials.

Best regards,
Haakan

Haakan, I just started developing again myself, and it sure is fun. I'd like to see a bit more highlight in your image - ie, via curves or levels in photoshop bring up the highs a smidge. On my monitor the image is a wee bit gloomy - but I know my monitor is a bit darker than most. There's fantastic detail in the image!

I shot this through a fine mesh fence, you can see it in the darker splotches... with a Yashica Mat, Kodak Portra 160NC. This is a historic mansion in the Brookly Navy yards...

Hi Nesster,
thank you for your feedback. I have made a new variant which is lighter, and I agree, it looks better. Strangely though, the images looks somewhat different in Photoshop compared to looking at the exported ones with a previewer. I guess I have to learn some calibration settings.

As for the details, I was quite amased on how good the film was. I have attached a crop of the stairs and one can quite clearly see the mesh in it.

I like your image very much. I will definitely try also colour films. I am actually quite enjoying the whole experience of using film again.

Best regards,
Haakan

Some shots from my study abroad trip to Ecuador. All taken with a Pentax KM, lenses used were M 50/1.7, Vivitar 28/2.8, and Sears 135/2.8 primes. BN400CN for black and white, and either 160NC or UltraMax 400 for color (160NC for shots 1 and 5, UltraMax for number 4). Developed and scanned at Walgreens.

jzietman: That last shot is killer! The one with the blowing grass. great series.

I'm sending in a big box of slides to be scanned soon, I should have some shots up in the near future.
