First shots from my first film camera:

(Pentax MZ-7, FA 50mm f/1.4, Tri-X 400, Hong Kong)

I shot a roll of T-Max 400 and Neopan 400 directly afterward to get a sense of the character of each. I definitely liked Tri-X best and will continue to use it.
Nice captures and welcome to PF and in particular our small, but growing group of folks who love film...

Various subjects as you can see.
All Ilford FP4 Plus shoot with MX and M-28 / M-50 I don't remember which.

Cheers,

Luc
Luc, I love this shot. You really get great results from the FP4. I bought a roll to try, but have not done so yet.

I like them.

Please don't quote a whole row of pictures, it makes for a lot of scrolling.

Easytiger, fantastic street shots with bang-on exposure. Love the variety and content, (esp. 2nd shot) looks like the tri-x is giving you good tonality.

Luc, wonderful arboreal scenes with good use of backlight. Who needs colour to enjoy vegetation glowing away.

Javier, with slide film try a UV, or the aforementioned 81A to reduce blueish haze. I tend to reserve polarizers to kill reflection or boost colour saturation in shiny vegetation. Yellow and red won't do much until you shoot more B&W.

This is a nice image! The silhouette of the dog reminds me of this song by Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs.

Javier, really enjoyed the Velvia 50 shots. I was going to ask you about what film you used on the above shot, but your file name cleared that up for me (Fuji 400) I haven't done any B&W conversions from color negs yet, but I find I enjoy yours (and others) when they come up.

Best,
Kevin

A few more from my first film camera, the Pentax MZ-7:

(FA 50mm f/1.4 + Tri-X 400)

The next day I shot T-Max for the first time, but I found it to be a little flat. I was shooting in the rain, though, so maybe I should give it another chance. Here's a sample:
