They are still in business and currently selling films under the Rollei brand name.

I don't think this film is produced anymore though, I can't find it on their website nor in their webstore. I have box of 20 rolls that was factory sealed and kept refrigerated which expired in 2007, and from what I gather it is probably from one of the last production runs.

I agree, very nice portrait!

Just tonight I made a digital contact sheet from an Ektar test roll I shot back around Halloween. I really, really like that stuff and can't wait until we get some color back around here. Thanks for posting.

P.S. Have you seen this? Flickr: Kodak Ektar Photo Contest

Uploaded my better shots. There are quite a few good ones, but I don't feel outclassed!

Got around to shooting a test roll of Neopan 1600, and while I was experimenting decided to give Pyrocat HD a try. The shots were nothing special, but the film/developer combination really surprised me, especially since I just guessed at the development times. I was expecting chalk and soot tonality and big clumps of grain, what I got was completely the opposite.

1600? I don't even know this kind film exist ... Well, at least I never saw one. The result looks pretty good though.

A couple of weeks ago a friend came to town, he asked me to bring him to my usual spots for street photos. Here are some of those from that day. All taken by LX+K35/3.5 on Fuji Reala 100:
