Frank, amazing shots. I almost picked this lens up, but passed at the last minute. The Tamron SP 17 is my choice wide on the LX.
Thanks I don't usually shooting w/ fisheye lenses, but sometimes it's pretty fun to see the world differently.

Some more from the K17 on fuji reala 100:

Hey guys, lovely film shots in this thread...
Here are a couple of mine from recently, shot with Ektar 100 on my Super Program. If you feel like letting me know what you think of them, that'd be appreciated.

This car is of the same vintage as the camera and lens

cheers,

2009 a year with 35mm film

2009 has been a year I started with Film SLR & shot Film more than digital (K100D)... has been an excellent experience starting with the Spotmatic SP .. then PEntax ME Super & MZ-7 (not in terms of Quantity/Quality snaps but in terms of understanding the simplicity of Photography).

Some of my Shots ..

I am From Mumbai (India) & Pardon the Video & Audio Qty (this is the 1st time i made a video using Picasa)

Santosh, 2009 marked my first "real" foray into film as well. (Shot some stuff in my twenties that wasn't much to write home about and the photography bug never really bit). Just took a look at your video and it was a treat to get a tour of what is to me an exotic locale and see some excellent photos. I'd love to take a look at the individual shots by themselves and have more time than the video affords. You mentioned you put together the video in Picasa. Do you have a gallery there with just the stills?

Thanks for posting.

Best,
Kevin

After a 25-year hiatus, I decided to develop my own B&W film today. Even though it was extremely foggy, I went out and took some pictures this morning, then developed the film (Kodak Tri-X) this afternoon. What fun to actually see images on the resulting film!

Unfortunately, I did not do something right and experienced some light/dark banding on the film. I posted a message in the post-processing forum asking for help with this problem. Please comment there if you can help: (https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/post-processing-printing-software-darkroo...tml#post885393).

Here is one of the "better" pictures from today's outing with my Pentax K1000, Vivitar MC 28mm f2.8, Kodak Tri-X at ISO400, developed in D-76 1:1, negatives scanned with Epson V500.

Wooden railroad overpass bridge constructed in 1898 and still in service. Across the street from the Phelps County Courthouse, Rolla, MO.

There is something very right about these old cars being shot on film!

Looks like you had fun shooting on your first day back with film. I posted a reply in regards to your banding issue.

Santosh, well, you forced me to join Facebook <g>...(not really, it's something I've been meaning to do for a while and just haven't got around to it). Thanks for posting the links - gave me a chance to linger over some of the photos I wanted to spend more time with. Great stuff. I look forward to seeing more of your posts here.

Best,
Kevin
