@Javier - You first couple of photos with the CPL remind me of what happened when I put my DA18-55 on my ME Super.

What film were you using for those? The colors are great.

I just checked it and it's somewhere between GBP 200 - GBP 300... a bit over what I'm ready to pay.
However, a quick search on flickr turned out some great portraits!
Yeah, they aren't cheap. I have been looking for a few months and finally got a decent deal on one (I think) at $350US. I just hope that I can manually handle that narrow range of sharp focus wide open.

Kevin, Tuco, Javier - so I go to sleep, nothing much going on here, and now when I wake up I'm Rip Van Winkle, a whole page full of super film photos. Damn nice shooting, should I point out some of my favorites? Tuco, your entire last set, culminating with the artist and model. Javier, your kids getting out of church / school. Kevin, your b&w series is so excellent... you do know that once you really 'get' the Super Pgm, you're just about at a 645 - the two are so similar. They use the same flashes for TTL. ....just saying...

Nesster, you don't perchance happen to have a particularly ruddy complexion, have horns, and carry a pitchfork <g>? Thanks for pointing out the similarity between the SuperProgram and the 645...I think. Speaking of Rip Van Winkle...went to respond to your post and another great shot from your Bessa appears - for a "slow" format, stuff moves pretty fast on the film forum.

Javier, great way to answer my question by posting the photos from the FTb. Looks like your in the throes of CBA, too - did a double-take when you mentioned the Ricoh XR-P. The vignette isn't so bad. Only drawback to film is that there is no "chimping" - have to wait and see how things turn out. I'm going to have to cool it on the CBA now that Nesster's thrown a new wrench into things...(see above).

Tuco, the sound you hear all the way across the continent is my jaw hitting the floor - hope it's not waking you up in the middle of the night. Thanks for the inspiration.

Best,
Kevin

Sad, as of this March, Kodak's 320TXP will be discontinued. It will be available in sheet film, I hear.

Kodak 320TXP, PMK Pyro

Kodak 100TMX, Orange Filter, PMK Pyro

Acros 100, ND2.7 (9-stop)+Orange filter, PMK Pyro

Superb photos. Shame on you to make us lust after medium format. But still keep it coming

Cheers,

!!!!!!!! Those two are AWESOME, Agnostic. You sure manage to have camera with you in some fantastic weather... and you abstract out the best scenes. In the first pic, is that a semi double exposure or is it a reflection off of what? Can't tell where the window would start.

Bravo.

Sweet shot Agnostic. It inspires me to want to go shoot my Rolleicord IV. I've been neglecting it.

Kodak 320TXP, PMK Pyro, 50 seconds

100 Acros, PMK Pyro

Using a spot meter makes placing the bridge in a silhouette easy.

100 Acros, PMK, ND2.7 (9-stop) + Orange filters, 120 seconds

Thanks! It's one shot but you get a mix of reflection and view-through on the glass bus stop windows on the right.

And your shots make me feel like trying some long exposures! That bridge shot is excellent.

Thanks. Note that I use Acros a lot for my long exposures. If you haven't used it before here is an interesting feature of that film. It does not have reciprocity failure until after 120 seconds. And for longer you only need to adjust 1/2 stop. It makes for consistent results. Now that is both good and bad. The good is you don't need to carry around reciprocity charts. The bad is it makes it hard to do really long exposures in any modest amount of light. The bridge was a SMC Pentax 165mm LS stopped all the way down plus those filters.
