Javier, the lomography effects are interesting, but the most important aspect of that shot is that it was well composed. It would also have been an excellent image on Tuco's 6x7 or Pepijn's Rollei.

I like the lomo shot Javier, although I'm not sure about using one myself Composition is good.

Here's a shot of my dad trying to smile (ME super m50 f1.4 tri-x @400):

Nice photo and nice demonstration of how the concepts of lomography and edge sharpness are somewhat at odds.
Thank you.

Thank you. It is a funky camera and I doubt very much I will use it again anytime soon. Who knows, but for me, I had to try it.

If anyone would like to borrow the holga for some fun, shoot me a PM.

Here is another from the Holga. Single exposer

Same basic shot but hitting the shutter button twice creating a double exposer.

It is certainly worth trying, but I can't help thinking that these shots would be as interesting or more with a 35mm and that 99cent film or some ISO 400 B&W with grain enhanced in Rodinal. I'm all for impressionistic rendering, but I like to predict and control the effect.

True, very true. But from what I have read and understand, the beauty of these cams is that no two are alike (they say) and part of the fun is not knowing what you will get. For me, I had to give the Holga a try.

Thanks Carl. And thanks to Jussi for the earlier lighting comment

Javier - you're very consistent, I'm enjoying your shots. I seem to keep buying cameras and lenses to 'try out', but haven't managed to let one go as yet. Just received another Super Program yesterday for my sister, and have my first screwmount coming hopefully next week. Anyway...

Thanks Jas. I really do enjoy shooting film. There is something about the way the cams feel in my hands. The grittyness of the film, the waiting part as I wait for it to come back from one of the three places I send it to...I also know that I am no where near the photographer (or in my case, snap shooter) than the majority here. But I will tell you what. I enjoy it and have fun with it.

This was taken with my newly acquired MZ-S on Ilford PanF+ 50. There isn't anything spectacular about the shot, it was simply a test roll to make sure the camera was working. It was developed in HC-110 (OOOOld HC-110) and scanned on a V700. Most of the dust spots you are seeing are from the cover glass I use to flatten the negatives while scanning..

Now that the excuses are out of the way, I Like the picture because it kind of reminds me of that 1959ish magazine type photo. Never the best quality, the paper used to make the magazines is questionable at best (though most of mine have survived time). The picture has a kind of nostalgic 'good ole days' feel for me..
