This was taken with my newly acquired MZ-S on Ilford PanF+ 50. There isn't anything spectacular about the shot, it was simply a test roll to make sure the camera was working. It was developed in HC-110 (OOOOld HC-110) and scanned on a V700. Most of the dust spots you are seeing are from the cover glass I use to flatten the negatives while scanning..

Now that the excuses are out of the way, I Like the picture because it kind of reminds me of that 1959ish magazine type photo. Never the best quality, the paper used to make the magazines is questionable at best (though most of mine have survived time). The picture has a kind of nostalgic 'good ole days' feel for me..

I really like this

Here is another from the Holga. Single exposer
regarding the beach shots:
the first photo has a feel/look of a B movie still shot . the vista angle/projection as seen by Godzilla. Pretty cool.

David, really liking the XP2 shots and the ME Super/M50 f1.7 combo; that camera and lens is my "go to" set up these days. My SuperProgram stuff is largely a case of putting a new purchase through its paces. Weather's great and I have some time today so I'm going to go do some shooting - question is, with what?

Best,
Kevin

Javier, you're right about the color and grit of that 99 cent film - adds a ton of atmosphere. How are you liking the Ricoh setup? KR5 Supers show up pretty regularly on my local CraigsList for good prices and I'm thinking of giving them a shot. Your Holga stuff looks like fun (as do Easytiger's), but as Gene mentioned, I think it would be more frustrating in a "what-could-have-been" kind of way. I have visions of capturing a once in a lifetime shot and having a huge light leak in the middle of it .

Best,
Kevin

Fuji 160S - this may be one of the discontinued in 35mm size films - what a shame!

Sightseer SV. First two are with the Super Tak 28/3.5 I'll send on with the camera... the graveyard angel is with the Auto Tamron-F 35/2.8.

Those are great XP2 shots. The 120 roll of XP2 I got back from processing by a good shop yesterday had some nice shots, but some horrific scratches of the type that 35mm XP1 used to bring home from the 1 hour lab before I developed my own. This is the most disappointing experiences I have had with either this film or this lab, since these MF shots look grainier than the 35mm shots from this film posted above. I'm leaning toward the lab as being at fault, since I shot three other rolls of different films that day that were great, and there was some fogging on this roll as well.

I spent a lot of time with the spot healing brush on many of my frames (not so much this one, though). Pentax 645 150mm Ilford XP2 cropped.

I've been looking at all these great shots for months but feeling guilty that I haven't put up any of my own shots. The problem is that I don't have a neg scanner or a flatbed scanner with a transparency adaptor. All I've got is an 10 year old 600dpi flatbed. The prints are 9.5x12 inches and the scanner can take 9x12 inches so I've lost a strip down the side but sod it... here goes nothing.

Thanks Kevin and GeneV! I am very happy with the Ilford XP2, the ME Super with the M50mm is really compact & light weight together, and it is a perfect combination. I think my local Costco has done an adequate job for the film process and scan, I am sure a pro lab would be even better but at a much higher cost, longer time and long drive!
@ GeneV That is really nice shot! Great composition simple but beautiful and great tones!

Godzilla, now you know you have done one thing right I tell you, it was fun, but doubt I will use it again. The film and PP was too expensive for it to be fun effective...

Kevin, I really love that cheap film. PM your address and I will send you a couple of rolls. As for the Ricoh, I really like it. I paid $5.00 for the cam and lens on ebay. At the time the guy had 50 of them left over from a class he taught. Right now I see he has 8 more but wants like $300.00 for all of them with 50'S on them. As for the Holga, it was fun, but a one time deal for me. For every shot I took with the Holga, I did shoot one with digital. Anyway, let me know.
Thanks javier
