WOW, that's good prices - B&H wants at least $10 per roll and doesn't have nearly the selection.

Javier, the one with the green car is really terrific. It must be a pretty spontaneous street shot, but it doesn't look it at all! I'll join in with praising the expired film. Makes me think of the movie Bullitt for some reason. Every shot looks like the early seventies.

Today's winner?!?!? - That should be good for at least a year . American flags flying on the building behind are the crowning touch (along with the colors). Really great shot.

Best,
Kevin

Swift 1, congratulations on your pickups' well-deserved acceptance to PPG. I'm going to have to start shooting some slide film. (Have shot a few rolls, but certainly not with that kind of success).

Best,
Kevin

CVS had a sale, so I've shot a few rolls lately. These are by and large not straight CVS scans - the original scans looked too light and washed out, so I duped the photo and blended back in in 'multiply' on ps. Multiply rescues 'thin' negatives and also saturates colors.

I also was testing out the TX mount Vivitar 135/2.5 I got two months ago. Man, the TX Nikon Ai mount is fiddly to get on - and I got a hair stuck in there somewhere, which showed up on the photos... talk about sensor dust Anyway, this series is also to show the Vivitar - and I don't get along with 135mm at all - in relation to shorter and better lenses.

2 with the Vivitar 135/2.5, Nikon FE

2 with Nikkor 35/2 - I see a 3-d and sharpness here compared to the Viv, these are at f/2.8

Thanks Kevin. You should shoot a roll of Velvia 50, you may never go back to other colors films. The first roll I got back from developing had me permanently hooked.
Of the 20 or so photos I have submitted in the last 2 years, the 2 that got accepted were both from my 67 on Velvia.
