Gene, looks like you did all right by that Walgreen's film in this shot. I read your earlier post where you had to de-saturate some of the yellows to get your dirt the right color with it, but the blues, yellows, and greens in this shot all look great (although I didn't see the original to compare it to <g>).

Best,
Kevin

On the cactus, the saturated yellows might not have been so unwelcome, but they were not there. The oversaturation seems to come with a half stop or so of overexposure. This scan is pretty much straight.

Steve, congratulations! I followed your link to the Chamonix page when you were shopping and was wondering where you were at in terms of making the purchase. PLEASE post some of your results in the "Show us your film shots" forum. I am sorely tempted in the same direction (although nowhere near ready to pull the trigger).

Keep us posted.

Best (and enjoy the new toy),
Kevin
Thanks!

With any luck I may have something by this weekend. The main challenge at this point is remembering to remove the dark slide from the 120 back and finding a way to digitize the negatives once I do the processing.

Thank you... I like this sculpture, though basically people ignore it, it's been there since the 70s I think - Yu Yu Yang’s 1969 Untitled

Very nice, specially like the effect of the light/shadow in the foreground.

Cheers,

Pepijn, another great shot and excellent use of that film and developer.

Frink, welcome. That are also very nice shots with similar materials.

Agnostic, that sand shot above it simply beautiful. One of the best I've seen here in a while. That's art.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I'm still wondering whether I should crop the top and make it a 6x4.5.....

Amazing pictures in this post. Goes to show that photography is more about the subject and mood of the pic than the quality of the equipment. Just like all the older movies shot with minimal equipment compared to all the high tech gizmo of today -- and you still can't beat some of those older classics for storytelling and acting. Best pics are those that tell stories and impart emotion.
