Oh my! So that is what happens when you fail to turn your children on to photography!

So many beautiful items. I really like the LF and press cameras, though I haven't a clue how to use them. Thanks for sharing.

there's a lot of Pentax stuff if you keep digging, including some nice Takumars!

Fascinating. The owner must have haunted estate auctions, clearance sales and the like for years, to compile this lot. A pity in one way that it didn't go into a camera museum somewhere.

Some of the pictures are awful quality, considering that others have been taken with multiple umbrella flashes (as you can see in the front surface reflections of the lenses) - so much so you can't really tell the condition of the item.

I found at least one misleading description, of a Leitz lens that clearly had a bayonet mount, but was described in the text as a screw mount. Another rare mirror lens was described as being in very good condition, but the photo clearly showed significant scraping on the barrel, so one would hope the elements were in better shape.

Nonetheless, a lot of interesting items.

Wow, that's one humongous sale! If I had that big a collection and my future kids don't want it, I'd probably mention in my will that the lot be set up in a museum, with some not-so-rare items and duplicates be donated to art and film schools.

There are a lot of interesting pieces there, for sure.

You'd be surprised that they hold one about equally sized auction every couple of months. This one is number 32

LP foto in Stockholm are the ones to arrange the auctions. I have followed these auctions a bit but haven't been a bidder yet.

There homepage is here if you want to check out old auctions or just otherwise are interested.
