Will K1000 diopter work on Spotties?

I was cursing my 52-year-old eyes yesterday, and can't STAND shooting with glasses.

I'm nearsighted, which has its advantages when visiting certain people, but does anyone know if this corrector for the K1000 might also fit Spotties?

NEW ASAHI PENTAX A100 110 EYEPICE CORRECTION DIOPTER - eBay (item 370171558762 end time Apr-10-09 11:51:01 PDT)

Mind you, this costs as much as the damn BODIES did (original, SP and SP1000), but I need help seeing the light of day. I also found two on eBay for Minoltas, a lot cheaper, so has anyone modified something like that?

I'm tempted to just take a jeweler's loop and Crazy Glue it to the damn body. (Just kidding.)

And yeah--I emailed them, but if you know anything about Cambridge at all (I grew up with them in the 70s), they'll tell you ANYTHING to make a sale.

That diopter is for the Auto 110 System camera - an SLR with exchangeable lenses built to use 110 film.

FWIW, the K-Series VF attachments generally fit the Spot bodies. When Pentax introduced the M-Series the enlarged the eyepiece just enough to obsolete all the old eyepiece adapters.

What does VF stand for? Variable focus?

Sorry for the jargon - ViewFinder. And I meant to say the made the viewfinder FRAME (onto which the eyepiece attachments slip) just a tiny bit larger.

Thanks--I should have figured that out, but I thought VF was an acronym for something else.
