Don't confuse what they were designed for
DA's work fine with any Program type camera, though in program mode only (unless the body can set aperture). Yes, you do get vignetting at the wide end, but with these zooms you often get into ultra-wide territory before that starts to happen. I use my DA 16-45 with film, to about 21mm there's no vignetting, and wider than that I like the effect anyway.
Of course, this is the
fun aspect of photography, where perfection matters less than having a good time with cool stuff.
