And the auction finishes on...

Have you noticed that the auction finishes on April 1?
Might be just coincidence but the cynic in me feels a little uneasy.

Mind you, I would like to have it but I risk physical harm if I am caught buying another film camera.

It will be interesting to see what it eventually goes for.

I would say coincidence. I still see nothing fishy about this...

Yep -- not long now...at $227, I'd be tempted to bid.

NICE! My recent Henry's win (an LX) is present'y at Eric's for CLA, so my budget is pretty busted as well.

thanks. price went higher than I really wanted (go figure) but considering its practically NIB with hood and all the goodies that come along with a boxed lens (my favourite kind) it was really a steal. the lens alone usually goes for much more than that on the bay. im a sucker for Takumars (or any Pentax) that have the box and paperwork. I currently have three, this makes four.

Lower.

$1000 is what the MIB LX - that caused such a stir here last fall - went for.

I think it said sealed but one pic shows lense peaking out

Steve
Well it's gone! For a mere $430 US.

What I think I am seeing is the wrinkles and smudge marks of the plastic bag over the lens cap. I think the plastic bag is pulled tightly over the lens cap in that image. In the other images you can clearly see the seam of the plastic bag in the same position and the plastic covering is a bit more visible there.

The seller is making a huge deal out of the fact that it is sealed in a factory wrap. To have it not sealed would be a reason for the buyer to be pissed.

How come there's not one photo showing the camera unwrapped?

I don't buy it--seems fishy.

Also, if you study the one photo where the lens is peaking out of the plastic, it sure doesn't look mint.

Finally, they should be giving the camera's serial #--not the lens's or the copyright date on the manual.

What he said...

When you get it can you let us know if it was exactly as described. Also could you post some hi-res images. I would really like to see it.
