SP experts

I have a black Honeywell spotmatic with nothing but a number on the left top near the prism and a black Asahi spotmatic that has an "SP" on the top near the prism in addition to a number.

Are these the same camera aside from this cosmetic difference?

There appears to be folks on this forum much more knowledgeable than me.

Woof, You still need a pair of "D" rings? I am sure I have a pair of the 6 sided triangle ones somewhere if you want me to look and mail them to you.

Short answer is "yes." There is some variation between early and late in both Honeywell and Asahi, but even those differences tend not to be mechanical so much as cosmetic in some form. So yes, those are the same camera.

Thanks Peter! Straightshooter hooked me up.

On the other hand, I could use another pair and would gladly send you some later three sided Pentax replacements plus the shipping cost to cover postage for your set!

You probably still have my address, if not PM and I'll shoot you a quick reply.
