These are my last two SLR's I purchased. I recieved them past week...
Both are as close to ''new'' as it gets. I am beyond happy with these two purchases. Both I purchased bodies only.

Hey Frank,

I've just posted a photo in this thread about cleaning lenses

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/30723-dirt-fun...tml#post597215

Rather than add non camera images to this one. I have tried the pencil eraser on a lens and had no luck but with this the front ring came off real easy. I think because its contacting the whole ring plus it gives you something more substantial to grip whilst turning. It cost about $12, you should be able to get it at any big hardware store I think.
Thanks.Mike for the info. The rubber ring is an excellent idea. I'd see if I can find something similar. But we'd need different rings for lenses w/ different front thread size

Here's one of a new-to-me Super A, dubbed Dangermouse for being a little British fellow. Took these a few days ago and got tired before I uploaded them.

Inspired by elk, I have just received a few more new to me films. So far I have shot the Ilford xp-2 and have found a very good film!

i haven't had the opportunity to shoot more than single roll of XP2 film (one of those boxes in my equipment photo was, in fact, empty ), and that was with non-working meter, but i really like the results i got - 400ASA speed and good latitude allowed me to take some not-really bad shots, for example, something like this:

(shutter probably somewhere around 1/125, lens wide-open)

gotta try that other roll with, at least, working meter.

That is a nice capture.
So far I have only got one picture scanned and I missed the exposer.

thanks!

i found that XP2 super is the only black & white film my HP scanner can digest with original TWAIN drivers, but you have to scan it in full color, though.

What model HP scanner do u have? I have been scanning my XP-2 for the past hour and am scanning straight to gray scale.

My favorite Pentax Film SLR is my newest: Pentax ME black. My avatar shows it with my newest lens: a 500mm Spiratone F8. With the attached Winder ME II it weighs about 5 lbs. I typically shoot Fuji Superia 200 or Kodak BW400CN.

Here it is without the lens or winder.

Just two pretty conventional models but I love 'em:

Pentax ME
Pentax ME Super
both have been resealed and refoamed

Lenses:

Pentax-M 28mm f/3.5
Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7
Pentax-M 135mm f/3.5 (this lens is super sharp!)
Pentax-A 35-70mm f/4 Macro zoom
Riken 28-70mm f/3.8 Macro zoom

I usually have T-Max in the ME and Kodak or Fuji color neg film in the Super.

That's all you need. I know that for as many film cameras as I have, I really only use my ME SUPERS. Best SLR ''ever'' made...OK, Let the lynching continue
