Thanks! I knew it was somewhere around here.

Did you glue it also? And how far the self timer lever goes? I don't use it very often but I do, sometimes... how many seconds are remaining now, please?
A fairly thick coat of silicone glue and 24 hours to dry. The self timer is fairly useless like this, delays only about 4 seconds.

Edit: here is a simple solution: grind down the lever, repaint the tip black.

After a few people here sung the praises of the Pentax SV I picked up a broken one for peanuts then got Eric to repair it for me. It has just got back from Eric and is now loaded with Ilford Delta 100 film. I have fitted it with one of my earliest lenses, an Auto-Takumar 55mm f/1.8. This one, however, has an automatic aperture like the later Super Tak, but the aperture ring goes the "wrong" way round. That'll confuse me...

Very nice SV! I have the same wrong-way 55 f1.8 that came on an early SV (before export, per the paperwork). However my lens has a "Super Takumar" name ring. My "Auto Takumar" lenses are all semi-automatic. Interesting variations on these early models.

Yes.it is a little table top tripod which I often use for photographing cameras. I bought one a while back from ebay, then got a second in a job lot which included an ES and a variety of Taks. I sold the ES (as I already had one) and the S-M-C- Tak 135/3.5 (again because I had one) but kept the SMC Takumar 50/1.4 (with which this photo was taken), a S-M-C Takumar 135mm f/2.5 (first version) and a S-M-C Takumar 150mm f/4.

Cheers, Kris.

This beauty SV remind me my S1. Have a look:

Fully working S1 with Leica's Metraphot lightmeter sitting on top. Meter is working, but reads about 2-3 EVs lower, so its more for show, than for real need of metering.

Here's an image I though some fellow Pentaxians might like.

If you look through the camera reviews here, specifically at the SF and PZ film bodies, many reviewers comment on how big the SF10, SF1, and PZ-1 are.
The first time I picked up a SF1, my first thought was "this thing is huge". I've since got used to it and so I wasn't surprised when I got my PZ-1.
Well I recently purchased a Canon EOS Elan II and in photos they always appeared small. Boy was I surprised when I got it.

Here it is next to my SF10

oh pictures of cameras, this is just too much fun

My four loves

Pentax S1a, 55mm 1:2 Super Takumar (early)
Spotomatic SP Mark 2, 50mm 1:1.4 SMC Takumer (later)
K1000, 50mm 1:1.7 SMC-M
ME Super, 50mm 1:2 SMC-M

The s1a is prob my fav to be honest, dont know why, just one of those feelings.

I just snagged an SF10 for a buck and a quarter on eBay. Its a crapshoot whether it will even work, but worst case I just have a place to store my 50mm f/2

Yeah, the K50/1.2 looks bigger than the MX!

Nice.
