If history is to tell say that in 1980 I got my first SRL, is a Pentax mount Vivitar XV1, was in service for many years. With a 24mm Hoya, the normal Vivi, a Tokina 35-70 and a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 3.5.

Later a Nikon point and pull one Litte Touch AF 120 Ed.

But K-mount lenses were did not want to miss, then reaches a MX still in use, there came lots of lenses smc A28 2.8; K35 3.5, 50 1.7, K55 1.8; 135 3.5. A MG who got along very well with the 28 and 105 Takumar and Vivitar 28-105.

Then came dabble with AF there are reflex the ZX 5n and MZ3 appeared FA 35 2.0AL FA50 1.7 a FA 28-105, a FA 80 - 320.

In between rangefinders one Zorki 6 and FED 5C with Jupiter 8, Jupiter 12, Industar 50 and Industar 61LD. In addition to venture into the 6x6 one Ikonta 521/16.

Lately and used the MZ3 and MX, I have to reveal the negative to the store and then scan at home.

My gear digital a Pentax K7 and a Canon A590 with CHDK RAW.

Sorry for my poor English

Nice camera photos, the last one looks very nice.

As far as photo storage goes I use Google Sites, http://sites.google.com, which you already have access to with a free Google account. It's used to build websites, but I use it as a place to host my photos. There's no photo limit and the storage space can't be beat. I hate Flickr's buggy site. It's always slow and it crashes often, especially on a mobile device.

Posting photos to Fb gives them full permission to use, sell and license your photos in any way they want. You should read their terms of use agreement before using them for storage space.
Thanks for the heads-up on google sites - I'm definitely looking into it! Meanwhile, I was going to suggest Photobucket as a photo hosting site. No limits that I'm aware of, and some handy editing tools too. (for emergency use only, imo!) The interface for me, is a bit clunky, but not hard once you get acquainted with it.

This showed up in the mail today. Came complete with Asahi Pentax L39 filter and black never-ready case.
Camera, lens, and filter appear as if they were hardly used.
I haven't tested meter yet but all other function seem to work perfectly. Viewfinder, mirror, and shutter look as new.

Nice score, Colton. Haven't shot my Spotty near enough. I'm in love with the SuperTak 55 f1.8 (and the Spotmatic is the only camera currently available to me to use it and it needs some work. Damn). Congratulations and enjoy.

Best,
Kevin

I'm not really sure what to with the SPII now that I've thought about it more. I've always believed that something made to be used, should be used. But this camera is 40+ years old and I bet there aren't many left in this condition.
I feel like this thing belongs in a museum or something and that it would be a shame to damage it. At some point I'll probably send it in for a CLA because it would also be as shame to let it go bad.

Take the safety precautions (get some strap ring protectors and wear it in its ERC) and you should be able to still use it sparingly without any cosmetic damage.

After purchasing 4 old black Pentax cameras that had been used in ever ready cases, I've noticed that the case actually damages the black finish.
All 4 cameras has the same finish damage on the back top. As near I can tell, the ever ready case rubs here and eventually wears into the finish.

You mean where it says "Asahi Opt. Co., Japan"? That's interesting, I'll keep an eye on mine.

I have an SP11 in the same codition as yours, had it for years, & I do use it sometimes. To protect against brassing, I have stuck black insulating tape around the strap lugs, & also on the top plate, where you have shown the wear.
A mint SP11 is a beautiful thing...like an old Swiss Watch I reckon.
Cheers, Pickles.
