Phil.
At least your wife isn't always asking when you're going to sell some lenses.

I always answer, "Soon."

Two new acquisitions - little and large!

The MZ-50 seems light and plasticky, but we all know it's the glass that counts (and the Provia 100F inside). The 105mm finally arrived for my bargain 67, just about to load up that el-cheapo roll of Superia 400 you see there...

i got one for cheap some times ago, and yes, it's a very cheap SLR, but it's very nice when a friend ask you some SLR to try out film
Got enough feature to let people come from digital to film without to much "mental blockade".

elegant industrial designs

the spotmatic is one of the most beautiful pieces of industrial art ever made. i rank it with the swedish mauser m-96 rifle and winchester model 94 rifle.

From PentaxForums.com: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-film-slr-discussion/57517-introduc...#ixzz2Clw9SSYZ

You're correct on all three counts! However, In use I prefer my Model 86 in 45-70 and my M-1.

Pix of screw mount pentax to follow (did Pentax make any cameras after they abandoned the M42 screw mount?)

AOTA are, or course, subjective. I contend the SV takes the all-around industrial design sensory prize (visual, auditory and tactile beauty) but, as they say, it isnít worth fussing about unless the bone is showing or you ainít got no feeling in it.

Yep, the K 50/1.4 just came in the other day, which is what prompted me to take the photo. The KX with it's original 50/1,4 is a very handsome beast indeed.

Oh, indeed. Most of the cameras in this thread are post-screw-mount. The K-mount started in 1975, replacing Pentax's old screwmount with a bayonet mount. The K1000, KX, KM and K2 comprised the original lineup. The MX joined in 1976. The ME, MV, MG, ME Super, and all the other M series in the early eighties, The LX in 1980 or 81, the Super Program and Program Plus in 1984, and a glut of manual and autofocus Pentaxes followed that.

Pentax still makes Digital SLR cameras.

Not to bring this thread OT, but I thought the Mauser was german, not swedish.

Can one ever have too many shots of these old beauties, my latest acquisitions, the SV and the S1A? The light meter on the S1A works perfectly.

Introducing...

my collection. Love those small SLR's. Digital I'm shooting Canon but for 35mm I prefer those nice MX cameras. Great Handling and a lot of great lenses for them.

I have these two as well, and these two are the top of the list of the K mount manuals IMO.

The swedes adopted a Mauser action (the 1896 version) rifle as their military rifle (as did many other European nations).

Ok, what forum am I on? Oh right, the Pentax one. This is going to get confusing...
