Sears K-1000 or Ricoh

RE: Stevebrot

I am sure you are correct. I never KNEW it was a Pentax K-1000, just assumed so. Anyway, I loved the camera, and used it entirely in 100 percent manual mode. I gradually learned to get desired effects by controlling everything. Travelling all over Asia and Africa with that camera, I sometimes felt that it was almost a part of me. I learned sort of instinctively how to estimate lighting conditions, and went up or down from sunnyt 16 with ease. I was probably a better photographer then than now with all the modern technological conveniences that encourage shooting several shots just to compare and just to be sure!

Since I seen some great Ricoh here is my little set. 2 XR-P one with Winder, XR Release grip, and 35-70mm 3.5-4.5 macro. The other has the ULTRA rare (least took me 6 years to find one) Motor 3, 300p program flash and 28-100 F4 Macro. Interesting fact, the Motor 3 has a button to wind its self on and off the XR-P. Kind of fun to hit the button and it just come off or goes on. I have a few lens for the kit not shown, Ricoh brand 28mm 2.8,50mm 1.7, 50mm 2.0,135mm f2.8, 300mm apo 4.5,70-210 f3.9.
I am looking for the XR speedlight 400 if anyone knows where one is .....

Thanks! Yea... pretty much everything for this system is hard to find. Even Info on it is not an easy find. When I was looking for the motor drive i knew it existed but then one random day it just shows up. Maybe another 5 years

You guys are making me spend money. I ordered a new hoya 52mm uv filter to replace that one in the picture, it is dirty and was used, but that is a nice expensive lens and it deserves better than that. It made the lens look dirty. I try to put UV filters on all of my lens protect them from my dirty fingers.

Here's my latest acquisition. This guy is sort of a rescue case that I found on ebay for $4.99 +shipping. The shutter isn't working and the hotshoe is missing but other than that, it seems pretty clean. Tuesday it will be off to see Eric.
Now I will have all three original K bodies in black.

I just did a little research (HERE) and it may be that you had a XR 1000s. It was sold with different labeling in different markets and had features similar to what you describe.
