Thanks...lol. I was very lucky to come across both of them from the same seller. I was thinking of letting one of them go for a black AP or K in similar condition.....but I doubt I would ever come across someone to trade with.....

That shot would make a great Pentax magazine ad!

Hello - I've been lurking here for a long time - but now being retired I'm looking forward to shooting more and contributing more to the forum(s). Here are my film buddies. The only non working one is the Singlex which was given to me. The seals are shot and I'm not sure I will get it serviced, but I have used its Auto Rikenon 55 1.4 on my K-5 and am pleased with the results.

What he said! I have the twin to your Singlex sitting on my shelf I have both the Auto- Rikenon 55/1.4 and Auto-Rikenon 50/1.8, but have a strong preference for the slower lens. You can get the seals for the Singlex from Jon Goodman and the rest of the camera is pretty robust. Mine essentially works the same as it did when new.

I am also impressed with your Mamiya 7. I knew it was big, but I had no idea it was THAT big! It dwarfs your Yashica Mat 124!

I have such serious GAS now...for both the FF1 finder for the LX and a Pentax 6x7. Thanks for sharing!

denpapp: Nice! The Mamiya 7 and ME Super speak to me.

Thanks for the comments guys. It would be nice to honor the Singlex & put it back into action seeing as it's a Vietnam vet (it actually has a large dent in the bottom plate which conjures up a lot of possibilites as to what happened to cause it), but as for getting it back into shape, being a casual shooter it's been challeging just trying to give all my buddies some exercise. I'll keep it in mind though. As for the Mamiya, it's stouter than the Yashica for sure, but close to or maybe smaller than the SLR's below. Being an accountant i tend to think of the size difference relative to the size of the negs and so when i consider 24x36 mm relative to 6x7 cm, the Mamiya seems way too small

Reunited!

No I’m not referring to the “Peaches & Herb” song from the late ‘70s, but this KX.

I originally bought this KX in July 2008, had it CLAed locally and used it as a backup to my first KX that I got in 1975. After taking it on a trip to Antarctica in 2009, I sold it to a PF member to buy a Black KX that I found online.

I always regretted selling the KX for sentimental reasons and that it had the harder to find split-image screen. So when it came up for sale last month on the forum I had to buy it again!

Teaser alert:

Phil that is pretty cool.

I had a pink slip in the mailbox today.

No, not that kind.

The pink slip says the PO is holding a box from Eric Hendrickson. My new SuperProgram is in there.

Oh dear. I feel a bout of SMC A-LBA coming on.
