Don't worry, it will be once Eric has worked his magic.

Kris, I don't know if you saw the review of the M42 version of this lens from an October 1975 Modern Photography as it talks about just how special it is. I am not sure which version you have but the K mount version looks like the same except for the mount. Makes me want one even more now!

I hadn't seen the review but the lens is fun...

Well you can never have enough of some things. I have 4 KX'es - 3 black and a silver. One is OEM, the others were lens caps that I just kept. Imagine my delight when I found the second black one has the split-image focusing screen.

Besides, they enjoy company in their old age.

Organizing my stuff when I found my first serious camera which was a Pentax 105R I bought new back early 1990. This is a huge step up from a plastic Kodak Instamatic 110 camera I had before that! I took many photos with that for many years . . .

The Pentax MX, was my first manual focus SLR that I bought in 2009 from a local CL listing titled bag of old cameras and parts!

I really didn't need another one. This is KX number three, but I couldn't resist this at the price.

This will always be my favorite camera/lens combo and the one I started with in '75.

Very nice!

I have a pile of ME F spares (including an unbroken battery door, a good ERC and a complete set of clean black panels) but have yet to snag a working one. I even have what must have been one of the last M 50mm f1.7 lenses made, which came attached to a very clean but also very dead ME F.

Is it my imagination or are they more fragile than earlier M series bodies? Mine all either suffer from a non-latching shutter or a weird fault where winding on causes the lens to stop down and the shutter to fire!

i have two ME F, the other is the silver one, but its suffer of draining battery syndrome. somehow there is a electrical short in it, so if i put 4 batteries on, the next day the batteries will completely drain out, and the focusing screen is badly stained, i can find any replacement for that too

the cool thing about ME F is its focus confirmation, it will give you bip sound when it reach a focus
