Had quite a few film cameras, including some much praised cameras like LX and Z1. But my current film cameras are these four: MZ-S, MX, ME Super SE and Super Program:

MZ-S w/ three FA limiteds. It's probably the best AF film camera by Pentax:

MX w/ FA 43. Small and compact, beautiful and powerful. I love holding this combo:

SuperProgram w/ FA 43. Simply the most beautiful film camera ever made by Pentax (IMO):

ME Super SE w/ M50/1.4. This is my current favorite, especially w/ the SuperA's grip on:

I don't have much access to many films, only use those easily availabe ones: Gold Kodak or Fuji Superia 100 or 200 color film, and some Chinese made Century Black and White 100 film.

wow frank they all look brand new! How'd you get the grip on the ME Super? I've seen on another thread that someone had the film doors from a Program A and ME swapped to give the bit of a grip on the back, but how did you attach it to the front?

Thanks It took me quite a while to find these cameras, and I've changed light seals and mirror bumper foam for all the manual ones.

The back doors of ME/ME Super and ProgramA/SuperA seem to be the same. As to the front grip, I tried some double side tap which didn't work well. But I liked the feel w/ the grip on, so I super-glued it to the body

A new friend of mine surprised me by pulling this out of her bag on a trip to the Isle of Arran in Scotland. I'm not a fan of plastic construction in film cameras. Many plastic Pentax models turn my stomach! The P30 felt like a quality machine, though. Reminded me of the solid construction of my K10D.

Bodies:

K1000 (bought new)
K2 (black)
KM
KX
ME Super w/winder (bought new)
MX w/winder

This is also the order in which I use them. Regular exercise is a good thing.

Lenses (most are SMC-M except the Macro-Tak and the 300):

28mm/f2 (Vivitar close-focusing)
28mm/f2.8
35mm/f2.8
50mm/f1.7
50mm/f2 (qty 4)
50mm/f4 macro
50mm/f4 Macro-Takumar (M42)
55mm/f2
100mm/f2.8
100mm/f4 macro
135mm/f3.5
200mm/f4
300mm/f4

Plus 2 Auto 110 bodies, 18mm, 24mm, and 50mm lenses, AF130P flash, and 2 full sets of close-up lenses (thinking about selling).

Brad

Pretty classic 3 lens kit, hey?

The 135 doesn't see much use, it's a bit long & slow for my tastes. Maybe I should look into the 77 ltd . And grab a wide zoom for events. And a winder for the LX... and... wait. No. Less is more!
