i recently joined pentax forums and decided to introduce myself. i bought my first pentax, an mx, in 1979, and less than 10 years later bought an lx, which i've been shooting with since. i still have the mx…in a box. i use 3 lenses: vivitar series 1 70-210/f3.5, tokina atx 35-70/f2.8, and a pentax 400-600 reflex zoom. also i'm looking for a fisheye zoom. i saw a cosina 19-35mm af for sale. anyone use this lens on an lx? i'd be interested in hearing from you. oh yeah, i'm still mourning the demise of kodachrome 200

Welcome to the forums! That reflex zoom you have is fairly uncommon. How do you like it? As for fisheye zooms, I think the Cosina you're referring to may in fact be made by Cosina, but I've seen 19-35s in a variety of brand names, most notably Vivitar -- which was probably made by Cosina. As for the quality of it, I don't really have any idea, but when it comes to trying to figure out just how good -- or not -- an optic is, I like to go to flickr.com, type the name of the lens into the search panel, and then look through the images that were supposedly taken with the lens in question. You know what? Just for grins, I did that just now, and found a bunch of rather spectacular shots:

If they are indicative of the actual quality of the Cosina 19-35, all I can say is, I want one! It's rectilinear, though -- not a fisheye.

I kinda like that the drawing is of my particular camera though

Yes it would. There's alot of sellers on Ebay that do custom shirts. Here's one image I took and modified and had a shirt made with.

In fact I had to take the lens off the MX to take this picture. :-)

I haven't been here in a long time (photography has taken a backseat to other life stuff going on), but I received this camera and lens from a close friend earlier this year. They belonged to her father, who passed away a couple of years ago. She knew I loved film cameras, so she packed up the camera and lens (still with the original case) and sent them to me.

My friend unexpectedly passed away this October from a sudden return of cancer. I have this sitting on my bookcase and I'm determined to take it out shooting soon to honor her thoughtful gift.

I'm sure that that is what she would have wanted. Snap away in her memory. The equipment is the distilled essence of photographic requirements, not getting in the way of you and the subject.
