I need to get some photos of just my bodies but here's my whole collection. That's a Pentax MZ-70 on the right and a Ricoh KR-10 on the left.

That Kiron 70-210 lens also gets a close up of its own - it deserves it!

Wow Frank -- that's a beauty. And no brassing and a clean 50/1.2 to boot. I'm drooling.

Where does one come by cobra's skin? I'd order some but with my luck, it would still be on the snake.

Thanks The leather skin on my LX was peeling off, after my experience w/ MX, I decided to order something more unique, so I went for the cobra one. Looks pretty good on the LX.

I got the skins from CameraLeather.com Custom camera leather and leatherette. They are pretty slow processing orders (I got mine in 3 weeks), but the skins are really top quality, well worth the waiting.

A few months ago when I was having my LX CLA'd, I debated for quite a while over whether or not to replace the leatherette and I contacted cameraleather.com regarding their exotic skins. They were very helpful with available options and solutions. Ultimately, I chose to stick with what I have since it is still in decent shape and to save a few bucks.

I sold off my MZ-3 a while back (had a broken flash spring) but held onto my PZ-1p for more nostalgic reasons than anything else. It was purchased only a year or so before I made the switch to digital (Canon) back in 2000 and is pretty much mint.

Just playing around with it now with the 43mm on it compared to the 40mm on the K20d and wow, what a difference in coverage!

My latest & greatest: a nice clean K2 in black, with a K50/1.4 picked up on the local craigslist for $125 (along with a K200/4 I resold for $55, thus netting out at $70). My only other Pentax prime is a A35/2.8 (a recent eB@y find) as well as a M40/2.8 on its way (should get it this week).

The backup body is a Chinon CE-4 (yeah, I decided to keep it). I also have two Adaptall-2 primes (24/2.5 and 28/2.5).

Hello Frank,

Did you had any problem with installing the skin?
I have been looking at the skins for some time but chicken out buying one thinking that I would screw-up installing it.
After seeing your post I ordered a Coarse Black Lizard and a Red Lizard for my two LX.

Cheers,

Luc

Yeah, I had a bit problem on both cameras, but luckily just a bit off, not by much. MX is on the back, the skin is a tad bit over to the top. LX is on the front, left side, a bit off to the left. But I didn't use the wet-and-apply trick which was suggested by cameraleather: Cameraleather - wet method application

My buddy friend changed his LX skin by applying some alcohol on the skin, the sticky side, before he put the skin on, the result looks great. If you use the wet method, I'm sure you'd have no problem

Thanks a lot.
