I regularly think about selling everything and buying these 4 lenses, 1 MZ-s and a K20D.

Then I don't.

not really a big deal, i've forgone any digital upgrades in the future so 2 MZ-S's are the same as not buying into the K20D in my view

Part of my Little Pentax Film family

So here's my brood:
A very nice KX, an equally fine SuperProgram, a nice MESuper, and a later model K1000. The "loose" lens is an M-50mm f/1.4.

A very comfortable family we are. They peak down at me as I work from their perches on various nooks and crannies in my office. They also hang out with my K20D and K2000.

My Camera Of Choice: Pentax Spotmatic F. I didn't choose this Pentax, it was given to me by my father, but I don't think I could have gotten a better camera had I indeed chosen for myself. Open aperture metering, simple yet accurate meter, native Takumar lens compatibility. Everything I would have wanted had I known what I was getting.

My Lens Of Choice: This is a tough one, but honors probably fall on the SMC Takumar 55/1.8. This lens can be tack sharp, and yet can have playful bokeh and amazing contrast too. It's being muscled out as the lens I use the most by my SuperTakumar 28/3.5 though. Even without the SMC coatings, a fantastic landscape lens.

My Film Of Choice: This depends on what I'm shooting, but in general Ektar 100 or Gold 100 (Kodak) seem to be the best color films for landscaping, followed by Portra 160/400 for people shots, and BW400 for B/W. I originally wrote Fuji Superia Reala here, but on further reflection I'm not sure I like how it handles vivid tones. Also, BW400 kicks ass in it's ability to pick up subtle grey tones, especially compared to the Ilford XP2 (though this could be simply the processing I'm using at work as I hear XP2 is finicky).

I would love to get my hands on a newer K mount Pentax camera so that I could have access to some of the fantastic * series glass, not that I could afford it right now, but anyways. Screw mounts have a certain charm about them.

I usually buy glass to test it out. I've owned several, several lenses and sold them for almost nearly what I bought them for. Glass doesn't lose its value much in the condition that I keep it in.

I'm looking for one (wide angle lens) that has great bokeh power. Recommend any?

I currently have a little Pentax family in terms of Film Pentax cameras. 5, actually.

I have an ME Super, an Asahi Pentax K1000, A Pentax Auto 110, a Pentax IQZoom60, and a recently acquired low-end point-and-shoot. Still a Pentax, though it's only barely more than a Vivitar "toy camera".

I may also have a Spottie on the way, and I have a Sears KS Auto made by Ricoh that takes Pentax lenses.

I'll have a group portrait up later today or tomorrow. Love this thread! I am very jealous of some of these setups.

OK! This is 'Maddie,' my only film Pentax at the moment, wearing the modest, but ever-stylish 28 2.8. (Yes, my cameras get names. Someone wanted introductions. ) Somewhat cleaned up after being obtained here for a token sum, and currently patiently going through field trials.

My daughter's SP1000 (with a Rikenon 135/2.8)

The KX has been shown twice on this thread already, in black and in silver, but there's always room for another pic

Film, 120 is currently Velvia 100 (I can't seem to get all that much else here). 35 mm is Fuji Superia 400 (I think I'll try going back to slide though)
Favorite lens....not sure I have a favorite. Right now the K30/2.8 and Tak 120/2.8 are new so I'll spend some time using them. 67 is the 55mm.
