How'd you get a Nikkor on a Pentax? Are the bayonets similar enough to do something like this?

You can actually stick on of those old Nikkors on our dSLR bodies without any mods. It will just be on there a bit off set. The registry distance is very close and the bayonets are very similar. Its also possible to take the mount of those old non AI lenses and swap on a k-mount. But don't tell anyone.

I have an m37 adapter. an original asahi model. which by the way WILL give infinity focus on an m42 body.

that nikkor is a damn monster by the way. makes one REALLY appreciate the compactness of Pentax lenses. pretty good wide open though. I also have the cool PC nikkor 35mm shift lens. should take some photos of that. but this is a pentax thread not a nikon thread.

Oh there you go... posting pictures of black M42 cameras Nesster...

I've posted this before, but here's a black H3... the lens is a little bit of a stretch, but if we are doing Nikkors on Pentax, well...

Here it is with a lens that is contemporary with the body...

BTW, after using these hoods... I will not shoot without them. They make a very noticeable difference.
