Pentax K2

There's a lot of fine old gear in this thread. Speaking of old gear - I picked up this K2

used in the early 1990s. It had a little bassing and a few scuff marks but was

mechanically perfect after I sent it in for a cleaning and adjustment. It still works

great.

Attached is my favourite K series lens - the SMC Pentax K 200/2.5.

They make a great combo.

Thanks Monochrome,

I was experimenting with the K10 while hand holding my flash off camera. It worked out rather better than normal.

I used the DA* 16~50/2.8 for this shot. I'm seriously starting to like this lens as well. For a guy who shot nothing but primes for years this is quite a reversal.

I recently bought a Spotmatic F kit mainly for some of the Takumars that came with it and the seller threw in this body and a few Vivitar lenses.
It seems to work perfectly (I just finished a roll so we'll see), the meter works and it is kinda fun to use. The strap rings are put in a terrible location though. I like it though and will probably keep it.

That Vivitar is one boxy camera - almost reminiscent of a Kiev 60. Any idea who built it for Vivitar?

Colton,

I picked up one of those 28/2.5 Vivtars to use with my SV. I've been really happy with it. Let us know what you think.

That lens is Kiron made. Most of the Kirons are wonderful performers.

Your Vivitar was made by Cosina in the mid-1970s. They were also marketed under the Argus/Cosina name. It has the original Copal "Square" shutter and should be a pretty rugged and dependable camera.

Steve

P.S. I like the lens too! I have been looking for one of those to round out my M42 kit.

Thanks for the info Steve
The camera has a few cool features,1/125s flash sync and MLU when the timer is used.
Just recently there were a few 28/2.5 Vivitars on fleabay with B.I.N. prices in the $30-$40 range.
