The lens came with the camera? Sweet...

Steve
To be truthful, the camera kinda came with the lens. For the price I paid for both I can consider it a free Super Program body.
This will be the third A 35-105mm I have owned. I sadly sold the first 2 I had but I think I will hang on to this one. It really is a great lens.

Very nice,

Actually, I just recently got a program plus with the same lens, same situation.

I wanted the lens and got it for 85$ on e-bay, the camera was a bonus. I like it, So now I think i want to upgrade the program to super program plus like you have.

Mind sharing the price of your nice acquisition?

This is alarmingly common, it seems. I bought a Pentax Super Program on eBay because it had a 28mm 2.8 A lens on it.

I paid $82 for the camera and lens.
Edit: Including shipping.

New to me ME and M 50mm f/1.7

The only reason it lasted long enough for me to find it was a shattered filter jammed on the lens. People had been trying to get it off for days and passing on the set when they couldn't budge it. I bought the set anyways for a very good body only price and had the filter off in 5 minutes at home with proper tools.

Cute, though King Arthur didn't get to take the sword in the stone back to his shop

Yes, cute. If the first roll turns out I'll try to come up with a nameplate to go over the "Pentax" or "Asahi" lettering. I have a welder's metal punch kit but it is missing a couple of letters and I can't recall off hand what they are.

Here is the new Super Program with its recently acquired Winder ME II. The two Ricohs with their winders are along with the ride.

Three Winders, Suitably Attached

K10D, Pentax-M 50/1.7

If anyone is interested, I posted a brief account of my impressions of all three setups on Hin's tech blog...

Great shot Steve. I've never had a chance to use one yet, but have always heard that the Super Program is a great camera.

My first camera. I was very young when I had it. I still have a little photo album of shots from this camera that has survived the years. The light meter still works. A little red flag covers a green area when the exposure is not correct. Exposure was based on only a few choices of 127 film speeds at the time:

• All Weather Pan
• Verichrome Pan
• Ektachrome
• Kodacolor
• Super Anscochrome

The Bell & Howell Electric Eye 127

These are all VERY beautiful cameras! Absolute pieces of art!

This isn't a 35mm, but I don't think the MF thread has a similar section.

My Pentax 645 - dead on reliable so far!
