I can't remember when the last time I used this was... but since I did the picture for another thread, I may as well cross post here.

It is not my last word in that matter, I've got some more - but they're just waiting for taking portraits.

Oh, and thanks to both of you for your kind words about my photographs.

Bombel,

Beautiful presentation of what is clearly some well loved old Pentax gear.

H1a and Vivitar 135/2.8 (Komine)

Quick snap with an I-10 so not the world's best jpeg.

A casual acquaintance heard I use Pentax so he stopped by with a box of "old camera stuff" from his parents' house. Here's just part of what was in the box. I'm actually pretty excited. I had the "Sightseeing Screwmount" (traveling SV) and liked it enough to keep my eyes open for one. This H1a is (I think) essentially a "bargain" version of the Honeywell H3a/SV, without the self-timer or the engraved 1/1000 mark on the shutter speed dial. The shutter speed is actually there, just not marked. Since this camera has the orange "R" engraved on the film rewind crank I believe it is version 2 - suitable for use with Super-Takumar and later lenses.

Just purchased this camera body off craigslist for $15. Had to invest $15 into a new battery. Overall I am impressed with the look and feel of this camera. If Pentax put their digital tech into a camera that look like this and kept the little slider switches I would replace my K10D in a heartbeat. Pictures are after I cleaned a bit of dust off of it, the girl that sold it to me kept it without a body cap in her purse. Backdrop is courtesy of Saskatchewan. Posted a review if you care to view my impression of this camera.

A very cool camera. I have one myself. I love that huge view finder. It just feels right in my hands.
