Chris, Chris, didn't you hear me? I made one out of a cat food tin! Is this not cooler than paying S. K. Grimes to make me one? ;-)

I just got this in the mail. I'm so incredibly happy with this purchase. It's in like-new condition (there is a very small hair in the viewfinder, but that's all -- otherwise, looks barely used!) for $37. The camera feels GREAT, and the viewfinder, while perhaps a tad small by film SLR standards, is bright and large enough for me.

I already love this camera after ten minutes of owning it. Everything feels right. Fits in my hand like a glove. Wow. AF seems speedy enough (and makes the exact same beep noise that my K100D Super makes, feels like home ) Can't wait to run some film through this thing.

EDIT: Oh man, it reads the focal length info from the lens and the viewfinder shutter speed display changes color based on whether the speed is safe to handhold or not. That's a cool feature. Also, AF in low light seems at least as good, or even better than my K100D Super. It seems to act more "determined" in the way it searches for focus. Huh.

I have a 645n myself, but so far I am on my first roll. I am on image 4 and can't wait to get them finished.

I imagine a pro shop is the place to send the film to ?

I have one of these, too, in the form of a ZX-L. I just started a thread about it to see if there were any other users of it. I like it so far. In addition to the ZX-L, I've got a PZ-1P, a Ricoh XR Solar, a 67II, and a K20D.

And to the person mentioning the A 50mm 1.4. I have this lens and it's exceptional. I've yet to try it on my K20D. I've been meaning to use it backwards too just for fun (I have a backwards 49mm adapter).

For colour film I suppose so, but for b&w you can do it yourself...

I must say that I have tested all the shops in Luxembourg and the cheapest, best development (no scratches, no fingerprints, no hairs, no watermarks, etc) and fastest service came from a belgian discount store Hema : 2.75 € for a slide film (135 and 120) in three days...

You know what. You are right. I will do it myself. I have Tri-x 400 in it right now.
I will also buy me a dedicated film scanner while I am at it.

IIRC I read a post where you say you now own a Pentax 645 camera, Javier.
Medium format film scannners also handle 35mm but are quite expensive.
I'm interested in knowing how you plan to proceed, as I'm in the same boat...

Chris, I will let you know. I bought my 645n about 8 months ago, but have only recently started to use it. I bought it from the local craigs list.

That's a very clean looking SPII. Congratulations!

My SP just arrived today, after a 2 months long trip from Canada (seller sent by surface instead of air due to some miscommunication). But its condition isn't as good as what the seller claimed The Super Takumar 50/1.4 lens that came w/ it looks okay though.

Just finished testing out my ME Super SE, this SP might be my next testing camera...
