Oh, that car has seen worse. Its a tough old war horse. I'll get some better pictures of the Tak with my real camera. I'm waiting for my screw mount adapter to arrive so
I can shoot with it.

As for the Albinar, I haven't tried any film in that K1000 and it won't mount on my K200D, so I can't comment. Its in amazing condition though. 20 years old and still has the little gold inspection sticker in mint condition.
That's why I gave my Albinar to someone. I couldn't mount it on my K10D or K200d. I had the same problem with a K-mount 80-200 F/4 push-pull, but that was such a nice lens I ground away the aperture-arm protector to make it work. I love that lens.

As for the car, Looks like a Ford Thunderbird. Am I right?

Very nice display. All three look to be in pretty good condition too.

It's actually the trunk lid of a Taurus.

And since I wasn't really happy with the IQ from my cell phone, I took the old girls to the beach today and shot them with a real camera.

I got the brand right! I'd recognize that particular shade of metallic red anywhere.

Cameras are looking good!

Hey, I've got some pics from my first roll in the ZX-5 posted in this week's POTW. Have a look if you want.

That reminds me of my Super Program mounted to my FA 35/2 The FA 35 is not a large lens, but on that camera with the lens hood on it looks huge!

the ZX-5 is a very bad camera, you shouldn't use it. Just give it to me, I will make sure it will be disposed off properly
Ha! I have the 5n and love it... Great photographs of Long Beach in the original post.

I'll have to find my point and shoot and grab a shot of my film stuff. I've never actually USED any of them - they all just came bundled with other stuff I was interested in. I would never think I'd 'accidentally' start acquiring film camera bodies. FWIW, I have a K1000, an A3000, and a pristine looking Minolta XG1. The XG1 cost me about a quarter if I average out the stuff in the lot that I won it in - I paid 99 cents for the lot, and shipping was 10 bucks. The A3000 has goopy light seals, but otherwise works as far as I can tell. The K1000 looks like it was used to hammer nails with.

EDIT: Well, duh. I have my K-x. For some reason I was mentally lumping it in with the film bodies.

EDIT II: I can't find the K1000, but I did stumble over a ME Super I'd forgotten all about.

This is what happened to me, and I think many others who are looking for old glass. They find they've inadvertently started a film SLR collection. I now have an ME, near-mint ME Super, and a very clean ZX-M - all were attached to lenses I'd purchased. The ME needed a light seal kit, and now works perfectly, even tho it's not in great cosmetic shape. The ME Super is waiting for a seal kit, and I'm running a roll of film thru the ZX-M now, though I'm having trouble using the split-prism viewfinder. Seems it's not as easy to use (for me), or as nice as the ME viewfinder. But I have to constantly remind myself to bring these cameras with me on shoots - they mostly languish on the shelf

edit: oh yeah, pics coming soon...

I'd love to find a seal kit for the A3000 one of these days. I was just rechecking the camera, it looks like it may actually never even have been used. It doesn't even have a scratch on the thing. I also love the remote shutter release on the front of the body itself. Quirky!

Jon Goodman (interslice on eBay) is a good bet. Even if not listed, he has kits for most cameras.

Steve
I recently emailed Jon at Interslice - he is no longer doing his business on ebay. He is selling direct for now while he reorganizes his business. You can reach him at: jgood21967@aol.com

I agree it's a good bet he has the seal kit for the A3000. Good guy to do business with, too.
