They aren't all the same. I am not in love with my ZX-M, but it's mostly because of the viewfinder. I expect yours is nicer, since it has a real pentaprism. Also the built-in spot meter would be good to have. So I'd like to come across a 5n sometime, preferably in a deal similar to the one you got.

Shot film pictures for 30 years with a K1000, bought the K-x, gave the K1000 to my
daughter, then started missing shooting film, so bought a couple of bodies off e-Bay.
Here's what I'm using at the moment:

Film Cameras: Pentax KM
Pentax ME Super

Digital SLR: Pentax K-x

Lenses:
Pentax M 50 1.7
Takumar A f3.5 28-80
Sigma UC f4 70-210
Pentax f3.8 28-200 AF
Pentax DA 18-55 AF
Sigma f4 70-300 APO AF
Vivitar (Tokina) 70-210 AF

I'm new to this forum and haven't figured out how to post pictures yet, or I'd have done
that.

Ashamed? Nah. They maybe don't get oohs and ahs, but a little repost:

I have only one Pentax, though I think it's quite nice.
And thanks to Eric, it now shoots as pretty as it looks

They are looking in very good condition. Curiously in an "hideous, squarish" sort of way I find the Kiev 4A beautiful.

Now you need to put some good glass on this FED. The Canon 35/2.8 chrome (34mm ring) would look incredible. The only issue is that the RF is set for 50mm only.

Cheers,

Luc

Maybe that's because of them being a Contax knock off.

This package, so carefully marked FRAGILE, came yesterday

But no worry, there was a smaller box inside which kept the contents in good shape

Version 3 of the Vivitar Ser 1 70-210 (Komine), I was hoping it would be a K-A version but it is K... anyway, first I've ever had. I don't like tele zooms and have a couple of others - I probably will end up selling this one to partly finance the whole package

With a nice Hippie Strap, a MZ with a SMC-M 50/1.7
I already cleaned it up a bit, put in new light seals (which seemed to be missing, as I didn't have to clean off much at all), and a roll of Fomapan 400.

It is nice to have a working camera with a mechanical shutter for winter. If daughter likes the looks of this maybe I'll swing a trade with her for her SP1000 - the MX I think is easier to use and at this stage more reliable for her photography class.

I do love the MX. what a great camera. I just ran two rolls of Ilford Delta 100 through mine the other day. though mine doesn’t look to be in as good of shape as yours.

Of all the film cameras I've owned and used, I had never even seen the LX in person. I figured if I was going to see one I'd better do it right. A couple months ago I bought one and soon I'll be sending it to Eric for a cleaning and needed adjustment. Anyway, here it is joining the ranks with my other cameras:

Very nice, Built. The little grip that attaches to that slot can really make those handle nice, too. they aren't that hard to make.

Thanks. The camera came with the Pentax block grip used to carve out your own shape. Now I just need a rocking chair and a whittling knife.

Here is mine. Presently it is sitting in a box at my parents house as the batteries are more expensives than the body itself. But it is a good small body even if some other pentax users looked down on me because it is an entry level camera.
Very capable body for everyday shooting. And I replace the focusing screen with a ZX-M one.

It's probably a repost.

You know you're dealing with a different kind of company when they'd supply a camera with that, eh?

I think someone here's actually worked on one of those, I thin you may be better off with drum sanders and files. It's the kind of thing some gunsmiths, etc, do a lot of, though.
