Speaking of camera straps; what strap is used on the LX like the one above? Can it be used on other bodies, does it have the normal strap connectors on the body?

thats the standard OEM LX strap I believe. the LX does not have the normal strap lugs found on most SLRs, it uses the same type of system used by hasselblad on their cameras. it was also used on the 6x7. no it can’t be used on the normal SLR strap lugs. I’m not sure of the technical term for the system, but its often referred to as a ‘lug clip’ system. hopefully someone with better knowledge can chime in with more info.

The strap itself can be used on normal SLRS, but the LX's strap lugs clip to the body, which has metal stud posts.

Also, there are three of the lugs on the body so that you can either have the strap fitted normally, or on one side so the camera body hangs down vertically. This is for when one of the top lugs is being used by the optional grip.

I have a MX body that has served me for a good long time and recently found a K2 body cheap, mainly because it has a big ding in the prism and one on the base plate. It is fully functional, but could use a C&A as the asa ring is pretty stiff and the foam seals are near the end of their life. I really like the design, especially the aperture priority Automatic (I almost never use shutter priority Auto). Goes to show how tough it is that even after the big dings (probably dropped more than once) the camera keeps on going. And yes, the sound of the shutter is very nice. Now to run some film through it.

Just picked up what was supposed to be a working ME F, unfortunately the thing came with rusted/corroded batteries which affected the base (being aluminum). Finally hours later I got it all cleaned up to find out that none of the advanced features work. So now I have a ME F with only ME Super capabilities... Bummer. Even the 1.7/50mm won't infinity focus.

A ZX-10, one of several junkers I picked up this summer. It was just in a box with a couple of "better" bodies and I hadn't intended to fix it, but then decided it would be a good warm-up repair before tackling a ZX-5n. Both of them had the same cracked mirror motor gear. This one seems to be working well now. Should finish up the test roll and get it developed tomorrow.

Congratulations Sluggo. I am also trying to save these "junkers" from being destined to the landfill. I've restored over a dozen 5N's so far.

I finally acquired a black SV. finally a replacement for my other SV. I was feeling rather depressed after giving up ownership. can’t wait to brass the paint up nicely. waiting on a replacement black leather kit, but she’s nice so far.

I posted my new MZ-S a couple of weeks ago but it was only a phone camera picture, here it is with is new partner a brand new K mount Nokton, I didn't think there were any Noktons to be found after Voightlander stopped making K mounts! I've had two pieces of luck lately a brand new MZ-S (new old stock) and a brand new Nokton. They don't disappoint, the lens has a sharpness and crispness that has to be seen to be believed,it has that solid feel and wonderfully damped focus ring and paired with the MZ-S you get a connection with the camera that I thought was gone forever when my Brother in-law lost my much loved Minolta SRT super. Oh I have to mention THAT SHUTTER'S amazing feel and sound its so sensual. I'm in love.

That's sad when another film or manufacturer leaves us. Hopefully Kodak will not be the next.
