With enough Pentax bodies, I am sure that you know that the logo is "AOCO" and stands for "Asahi Optical Co."

What a beautiful collection you have.

What a beautiful "set".
Some of them look as if they've never been used.
Cheers, Pickles.

Nice looking set of cameras. The black K2DMD with the motordrive is especially drool-worthy.

Thanks guys. I found the K2DMD in Germany and had to use Google translate to read the page and to setup the sale. It wasn't super cheap, but then again you don't come across them that often.

Monochrome....I seem to remember you posted a pic of yours near the start of the thread? Any more pics of it?

I'm working on some new shots and some group shots now. First pass wasn't very good since my "studio" is full of my son's college stuff.

He's moving out today.

PENTAX ME F Black
VERY nice! While I don't particularly care for the ME or ME Super, I really like the idea of owning an ME-F, even without the AF lens!

Was the ME F new in box? I don't think I've ever seen a used black body without any brassing.

youre right Steve. ME F is kinda cool. i considered is as an artefact from Pentax, since its holding title the first Camera with Autofocus system, its quite rare species and to be able to find a black version its much more special, since the possibility to find the black body in this world has same degree possibilty with seein a rare bird like ivory-billed wood pecker flyin in its natural habitat

me too never too fancy with an ME or ME Super

A working 35-70 is perhaps rarer than the black ME-F. I have the common chome ME-F and a non-functioning AF35-70.

Despite the poor AF and weight etc., optically it is supposed to be a nice lens.

no, that doesn't make me miss my ME F and AF 35-70. no, not at all. :ugh: the AF actually works much better than you'd expect in good light, and yes the lens is optically very good. enjoy it!
