I currently use ME Super and Program Plus.
I really loooove the look of Program Plus + DA40mm Limited. I just want to stare it forever.

I often Show my SV, not often my Spotmatic. fresh from a CLA, and ready for my upcoming trip.

Funny how different the Program Plus looks compared to the Program A given that they are essentially the same camera.

Nice Spottie séamuis, I must send mine off for a CLA too, although mine has quite a bit of brassing on the rear. Looks fine if you keep it in the case!

ME Super is a much better camera, I think, but the looks...
Look-wise, My Program Plus tops any other camera designs!

smilingman82: Well this is fun

Top row: KX, LX, ZX...30?
Next row: MX, ?, ?
Next row: Super A, KX, A3000
Next row: MV, K1000, MV1, Program A
Bottom: P30*, P30*, ME Super, P30*, ME Super

How did I do?

Edit: I think the mystery cameras in the 2nd row might both be K2s

+1 on that - I have an all black Pgm Plus, but your panda looks so nice I want one like that too.

The other panda SLR that I really like once I had it is the Minolta XE-5:

The XE-5 however is big and heavy where the Pgm Plus is small and light.

I'm curious to know why you guys think the ME Super is better than the Program Plus. I have both but haven't shot more than a role through each, so I haven't had a chance to notice any real difference between the two.

Unqualified generalizations are always bad. (self-referential humor, sorry) Either could be considered the better camera depending on what qualities you value.

The Program Plus has depth of field preview, a contoured grip which I think makes it feel better in the hand, and the ability to use A-series and newer lenses in full program mode.

But the ME Super has a more compact body, faster top shutter speed, quieter action, ability to operate at 1/125 sec if battery goes dead, speed LEDs always readable (the Program Plus provides no help in low light), and one of the best optical viewfinders Pentax ever made. It's a remarkable little piece of engineering.

That's exactly why I prefer ME Super over Program Plus.
The viewfinder with the shutter speed on the left side with brightly lit LED, and the quiet shutter noise. Program Plus sounds like two swords clashing one another ;P

I also should have said that ME Super is a much better camera for me than Program Plus.
