Welcome to the forums, Rocky, and you'll surely enjoy an MX.
Do you mean 'pre-loaded' as in there is a partially used roll of Velvia in it? If so, my advice is bin it. (The Velvia, not the MX.
) Sometimes eBay sellers, if they're young enough not to know film, or just careless or in a hurry, will open the back to see what condition the inside is in (a good instinct, generally) and find film unexpectedly, but then re-close the camera with it still in there, not knowing or not caring that this has ruined the film, and make no mention of having done so. Given the possibility of this, and the higher cost of processing E-6, that's why I'd say bin the partially used film rather than pay to process it and maybe get rubbish. Unless you have such morbid curiosity to try to see what the prior owner might have on that roll!
If you meant a fresh roll then of course shoot it...eventually. You can easily Google a lot of information about Velvia. Beautiful stuff, very punchy colors, good for landscapes, etc., but not tolerant of mis-exposure, so not necessarily the best choice for the first roll in a camera whose meter performance is as yet unknown to you. You might do well to run a roll of something more pedestrian through it, trying out (and writing down as you go) the full progression of shutter speeds and apertures first, to see whether the shutter speeds are right and the meter accurate.
