I think something like 8 Mx, 1 super program, 1 me super, 1 k1000 and 2 lx. I got the k1000 for free and paid 75 for the super program and me super(each), and got one mx free and most of the bodies I got for 50 each about 8 years ago or so. I was really into them then and 50 a pop wasn't bad. Also the puprle LX never did me right, so I just figured I had nothing to lose and dyed it black. Worst case I was going to order new lizard skin for it anways. That body was never used when I bought it, and i had it CLA'ed from pentax, and the red one had a CLA and new shutter. The now black one, still had the plastic on the bottom and under the lens mount and I have the original reciept from the original owner. The LX I paid 1000 for each with a bunch of lenses and view finders and focus screens, and motor drivers/winders. Plus the 300 CLS's I have a lot in them, but they are great cameras.

I don't want to be mean or anything, but judging from all those piles of photo equipment, one would be inclined to expect some better quality pictures

Oh now that is just piling on! Heck I don't even have the proper cover for my LX's sync ports . . .

If you are into ultra macro/microphotography, which is better for - the FD-1 or FE-1? Also what screen(s)?

Still looking for a motor drive for my LX!

Well 48548 does only have 6 posts in . . .

I can appreciate the enthusiasm of posting LX accessories as I can't even find some of these!

Particularly in boxed condition!

I have been collecting cameras for the past 15 years and I am under 40, hahaha (acutally my birthday is today). Seriously I never found any good camera forums and back then the internet wasn't a big thing, I just have been using forums for other things I am into like tools and my truck and just thought about looking into pentax forums again. I will never have the money like I had before to be able to buy most of this stuff (Wife now who puts a stop to my spending), I just hang onto it just like my old HP calaculators, they are cool and no longer made. I am not the best photograpy person and don't take the best pictures, but I am still learning. One thing I will never recommend is a motor drive for the MX, I have 4 of them and half of them burnt up. They are rare expensive and not worth the money. As for the winders for the MX, I do like those and they are pretty solid if you don't break the battery door cover. Over the years I bet there is close to 3.5 k in the stuff counting CLA's and accessories and the cameras themselves. I doubt I would ever get the money back, but like most of the stuff I have I don't buy the stuff hoping to make money. Also my 3 favorite lens I have is the 1:1.4 50mm pentax-m, a 28mm 1:2.8 pentax-m and an SMC pentax 1:2/28 lens. I have a few other vintage ones, but nothing special and most of the others are after market.

Very nice, I though I saw a K28/2 peaking out from the bottom of a picture. One of the best lenses Pentax ever made.

I started of with a Spotmatic, the had a Super A, then I "discovered" the LX......bought a S/H one.....then bought a new one.....then bought ALL of the accessories.....motor drive, all the viewfinders, A1.2 lens, 400 flash (280 was fine!)even had a 135/600 zoom & a ring flash. Never did get a data back though!

Most of mine I got ripped off on and they broke or didn't work and Eric can't repair them. I would go with a winder easier to find.

My favourite trio as of today:

ME Super

KR-30

Revueflex AC3

I find myself very attached to the Revueflex especially after I've dressed it up with new clothes .
Camera works like magic and that winder is incredible .
The only camera that I have with a small window inside the viewfinder where is showing the f selection on the lens.

All K-mount obviously ...

...

And recently added 2 more to my humble collection ... A Pentax and a Ricoh. Well the truth is 2 Pentax and 1 Ricoh. But one of the Pentax went back for some servicing.

KR-5 (got it for $20)

PZ-10 (got it for $10)
