Seriously: Phil, if you've had a lot of opportunity to use these, do you find the 67 materially different/better than the 6x7 in use? I've had 6x7/67 GAS forever and continue to ponder which model I'd get if I ever pull the trigger. (I know the 67 II is an entirely different, electronic creature--simply far better in terms of modern technical conveniences--but kind of out of my price range.)

A 6x7 with MLU and a 67 are the same camera operation wise. The 67 has a few internal mechanical improvements that were added to the 6x7 over the years. The last 6x7’s and the 67 are supposed to be identical.

As you mentioned the 67II/AE prism are an entirely a different & more expensive camera.

If you are choosing between the 6x7 and 67 I would recommend the 67, as it will most likely be in better shape.

To be truthful when I got my first P6x7 body a couple years ago, I saw no use for the wooden grips. I have changed my mind and they are actually pretty handy.

Thanks Phil. I'm trying to convince myself that I already don't sufficiently use the Bronica, the Rolleiflex, and the Super Ikonta enough as it is, so why do I need a 6x7/67? But everyone says they're so awesome...and they're Pentaxes,,,and the glass can be adaptered onto my K-mount Pentax SLRs/DSLR...and no other of my medium format gear is 6x7 format...and ... and ... [opens eBay in another browser tab]

Nice camera! Had such a nice one long ago but it was so untouched I was afraid to use it. Essentially traded it for an LX (money for money).

I really hope so too!! Shutter seem to be correct at all speeds, self-timer works fine and light meter seems to be accurate. I only have to test it with film to be sure.

After much hunting, managed to add a waist level finder to the profile with magnification and diopter info.
