Do the batteries still drain if you set the selector dial on the top to "L" when not using it?

I've noticed that the batteries in my Super A seem to last better if I do that.

Not the most exotic of collections, but I do use all three, especially the P30N with A50 1.7.

Here's a couple of shots of my latest find. Everything works on it and for some reason I find it drop dead sexy. Like all the M class, it's got a viewfinder like a jumbo-tron and seems a lot like my ME Super. I do miss the light meter telling me the shutter speed like on the ME, MG etc. but other than that...so far so good. I also like the grip!

Crappy cell phone pic of my 6x7 and four lenses. I did the grey leatherette on the body, need to get more Griptac so I can do the finder.

Lenses are SMC Pentax 67 45/4, SMC Pentax 67 105/2.4, SMC Pentax 6x7 165/2.8, SMC Takumar 75/4.5.

Got a 28mm smc-M. I use a 49/52 converter + 52mm. spacer (broken filter) as a hood. Sadly i'm having problems with this camera.

Hi folks,

I don't shoot them as often as I would like, but I too have a few film bodies. The second shot is from single in september 2014.

Bought a Canon EF in '76, my first SLR, and added a T-70 in the early '80s.

Gave up on them in the mid-90s and bought two ZX-5s with a handful of consumer-grade F zooms,
as well as an FA50 macro.

After 10 years' use I set these aside and pretty much quit photography.

Finally gave in to digital, 2011, and have taken a re-interest in film, too.

Time/date no longer functions on them, and the flash won't pop up on one, otherwise they're fine.

Found the $20 flea market K1000 a few months ago.

Yep a great combo, the KM & K55/1.8!

This came in today just in time for "TANKS-GIVING" I really just wanted the lens for the Program Plus shown earlier but as it turns out everything on this plastic beast works great. It feels really solid--almost like it should be weatherproof. I will have little mercy on it

The P30s make great cameras for situations where you wouldn't risk something you wanted to keep. They don't feel cheap or nasty but they go for pennies.

Which is why a P30 and A50 f2 live in my car glovebox. They're not heavy or bulky and if it expires from heat or cold I'll just swap the lens onto another one.

Yeah, it actually feels a lot like an Espio/IQ Zoom 200. All plastic, but very well made and durable except with all the benefits of a SLR. Like you said, perfect for when I don't want to risk a nicer camera. (like travelling to North Korea) Seriously though, it should make a great backpack beater.
