My "New" LX

After a long while of wanting one. I finally got around to selling a bunch of unnecessary gear and was able to find a mint condition LX. Can't wait to put it through its paces!

My Pentax MX, I still want to get a Refconverter A for it before I consider it 'complete'. :P

Oh my - its spotless!* Fully working - sweetest shutter I've ever heard.

* Quick and cheesy phone snaps at the office don't do justice.

Beautiful AP! That's the next one on my list but I've been spending a lot on lenses, accessories, and CLA services lately so money will be a little tight for a while in my hobby budget. Eric is finishing up a K and an SV for me as we speak. Those two have depleted the budget to zero.

Thanks! It really is a nice example. I should be in sell mode for a while
Eric has a K2DMD right now, then I have the following for him (he said send them in about a month)
K
SV
ESll silver.

Those ought to hold me.

You should start off your "sell mode" by selling that AP... to me!

Just lovely. Is it even possible to relate to a DSLR the same way?

Actually, the K-1 is in the neighborhood * As I recall you have a fair number of classic SLR's yourself.

* But nothing has a shutter sound like these old small volume Pentaxes, or an SV.

Maybe just clean up the leatherette with amourall or something.
Use saddle soap to clean. The covering is leather, not leatherette. It may be dressed with paste-type shoe polish if needed (won't take a shine or go deep black). If you end up wanting to replace the covering, I recommend Aki Asahi in Japan. The prices are good as are the materials.

If you don't see the materials you want on the listing, inquire whether they will cut a kit for you. They did a deep red embossed cowhide kit for one of my Spotmatics on request (LINK)

Thanks mate, I haven’t cleaned it yet, so I'll check out some saddle soap. Yep, aware of the aki mob, but this one will stay stock standard for now, but I do have some plans for an MX later on.
Cheers.

Regarding Aki Asahi i was surprised that they were not listing stock skins for the MX. i would like ox blood red for my silver copy. Waiting for it to come back to Queensland from Tennessee all pimped out.... Anticipation!!! Then Gordy wrist strap in black with red thread wrap. Shoud do for another thirty years.
