my only gripe is its inability to use lenses without an aperture ring in Av mode, which.. is really really dumb.

otherwise it served me well.

Just to let you know, it was this wonderful picture that got me to starting this thread. Had me drooling crazy!

Just inherited my mom's K1000 and all 5 of her lenses. I'm not sure what they all are yet. I've taken this camera with me to Scotland and my mom took it with her when she drove for UPS in the 80's. This camera has a metal top & bottom and was purchased in 1979 or 80. Just got the camera today.
I've also just purchased a ZX7. Haven't had much time to play, but I do like the auto advance. Not even my digital advances very fast.

I have a few in the Pentax family as well.
I notice throughout this thread there is no mention of a z10.
I was given one of these recently and know very little about it. I will have to run a film through and see what results I get. Any Thoughts??

Pentax MX
Pentax Z10
Pentax Super A

Pentax K50mm F2
Pentax M 135 3.5
Takumar A 28-80 3.5-4.5
Vivitar 80-200 4.5 MC
Sigma DL 35-80
Tamron AF zoom 70-210 (internal focus) **
(some others)

** This lens requires batteries to be installed for AF to operate it seems. I have had no success with this, but I have found it to be a very good MF lens, even on my K20d.

No great collection, but then again, I dont do much, if any?, film shooting these days.

The new addition to my family, a KM!

I got the whole camera kit from the original owner on eBay Germany, for 49.50EUR.

I was after the K35/3.5 lens and took a chance on the KM. Both arrived on Tuesday and are in EX+ condition.

I thought the KM would just be a scaled down version of the KX. It does look like a KX, but some of the features resemble a Spotmatic more. The KM has yet another different way to set the film speed, so the K2, KX & KM are all different!!

I wasn’t sure if I would like the KM but I do and will definitely be keeping it. I will send it off to Eric for a CLA.

Phil.
