LX 2000 Kit on CL Vancouver

I was just browsing through the local Craig's List and found a person selling the LX 2000 kit w/ smc-A 50mm F1.2 for $1000 Canadian. If I had the cash, it would be mine. I don't have the cash so I thought I'd pass on the info here.
Brand New In Box Pentax LX 2000 Limited Edition w/ smc-A 50mm F1.2

Sure Frank, send me the money. I'll buy it and use it over the next couple of decades (or more). All you have to do is sit back and look at the photos I take with it.

Oh well, I don't mind you having it for a couple of ... days

As Chris said, it's probably too good to be true. The lens alone would cost that much, and the camera would easily cost twice as much ...

You can always email him through Craigslist, maybe he would ship it?

What is wrong with showing up at an unknown address in Surrey with $1,000 in cash?
Isn't that the benefit of Craig List that you can find seller with lower than "market value" prices?
edit:
BTW there is one for sale on eBay at US 5,500 in Hong Kong!!!

Seriously my budget has settled for a used LX and $1,000 is too rich for me anyway.

Cheers,

Luc

Luc,

I figured you'd be attracted to this like a bee to honey

That lens alone is something worth lusting after!

Wear an iPod as well and wave the cash to grab the seller's attention to let them know you are there.

I thought that photo in the CL ad looked familiar....

Chiba City, Japan, to Vancouver? Did Pentax, as it often does, forget to advertise that the LX 2000 can swim? Maybe the titanium on it comes from former USSR submarines?

From here, but I found it on google (after thirty seconds of googling.)
