1978...thats when I bought my MX. I still have it and it is still going strong.

Interesting that the advert switches from the 50mm 1.4 to the 40 mm 2.8 pancake for the profile shot.

Ha, proof that advertising still works even 30 years after the fact.

If it shows up in time you can set it next to my KX at the meet this weekend as an example of Pentax's miniaturization process.

Seems the MX doesn’t need MLU, due to dampened system. (I was also wondering recently, why it seemed the ME Super didn't have it either).

How is the VF of the MX compared to the ME Super ? does it feel bigger, or are they just numbers

What do they mean, by “the usual dust problems associated with removable prisms” ?

Is this part aimed at the new Oly SLRs that were out at that time : “And, unlike some small camera bodies, we didn’t use plastic to reduce weight” ?
