Super Program: Latest addition to my collection

Hello,

OK, I think I have it wrong here. I'll soon have more bodies than lenses

I think I got lucky on this one. This was on ebay and the description said "as is" because the seller had no idea if it was working or not and had no batteries to test it. So I was the only bidder.
Final price? 99 cents!!! plus shipping.
I just got it, put batteries and it seems to be in PERFECT working order. Timer, LCD, meter, shutter etc. all seem to work. As soon as I get the chance I'll put my Takumar A-28-80 on it and a test roll.

Thanks,

WOW what a find, what a bargain! These are some of my favorite cameras, I have the Pgm Plus and wouldn't mind a Super Pgm myself.

Not 100% sure but I think they are the same. Just different names for different markets.

Thanks,

I love my Super Program (see avatar). It's my "noisy cricket" on its own with the A28/2.8 and an impressive hand-cannon with its motor drive A and the A70-210/4

Same camera..... Super Program was sold as such in the Americas, while it was labeled the Super A in Europe.

I hate to tell you this, but you've been taken. This camera sells regularly everywhere for less than 90 cents..... shipping included.

This is my 2nd favorite K-mount body. I keep thinking about selling mine but talk myself out of it. In addition to build quality there are 2 main reasons; the 1st reason is the 1/2000 shutter speed and the 2nd is the ttl flash capability.

As far as 99 cents goes . . .

I had one up until quite recently. It was in mint condition, acquired attached to a gorgeous Pentax 35-105 F:3.5 "A" zoom I was bidding on & won on Ebay. Being the best & most advanced of that eras compact line, I kept it for a few months hoping I might find a use for it but, as I shoot manually exclusively, & already own own & shoot with a few Spotmatics, a KX, & an MX, it was just gathering dust. Consequently, I sold it on Craigslist for $100 with a Pentax 50mm f:2. Great camera though, if that's what you're looking for.

I think the Super Program is my favorite Pentax film body. I go back and forth with my MZ-S. Most of all I love using Tv mode and a DA40 - what a compat set-up!

99 cents is a GREAT price, as you know. Mine was $25 with an A 50/1.7 - not too bad either!

99 cents huh - maybe I'll stop worrying about the mirror foam in mine.

Seriously though - it is an incedibly versital body and I think you are going to love it.
