Help: SuperProram Issues.

Recently my SuperProgram was acting like the batteries were dead. I replaced them but now the only time the LCDs light up is when the film door is open. If the film door is touching the body where it latches the screens go dead. The film crank has stopped working and does not work when the LCDs are on. What could cause this? I am thinking about taking to a local camera shop or the guy that everyone says is the best Pentax repair/inspector. I forgot his name and forgot to book mark him, but I remember that he went independent from Pentax in 1992.

His name is Eric, and you'll have to do a search for his name. It shouldn't be too hard.

if you feel the cameras worth it then it might be a good idea to get him to just go completely over it. Then it sounds like it'd be pretty much a new camera.
I probably would if it was mine.

Thanks for the link. I was messing around with the camera today and found out that I hadn't fully wound the first bit of film so the camera thought it had no film and turned off. It works now and I feel like an idiot. Thanks for the help.

I have 2. I had them CLAD and they work fine now. The only thing I don't like too much is the Compensation Dial. They move too easily.
