Tuco...wonderful work...don't know whether to praise you or hate you...damn wonderful work...

The worst part is that I have taken photographs at many of the same locations as those in your gallery and mine suck by comparison.

Here are five; maybe I'll post five more when the year is really over.

1. My first attempt at slide film, when a friend gave me a roll. LX, A28/2, Fuji 400x.

2. Our younger son, before we finally hauled him off to the barber. Pentax 67, Tak 105/2.4, Shanghai 400 film, D19 dev

3. Early morning landscape, spring, northwest Iowa. P67, 55/4, Fuji 160C film, home developed.

4. Faded prairie flower. LX, A28/2.0, orange filter, Arista Legacy Pro 100 (probably rebranded Acros), D19 dev.

5. The shot that first made me suspect I had a utility pole fetish. K1000SE (the red-skinned one, first test roll), Vivitar 19mm f/3.8, FP4+, xtol.

2009 was (and still is) a year of experimentation for me. I attempted the "sprocket hole" photography (using 135 film in 120 cameras) a few times. I'm pretty happy with how some of them turn out. These were all taken using Koni Omegaflex M (KOFM, a funky TLR camera):

These are really great, even without the sprocket holes, especially the first 3.

Fantastic. The Pro 160 shot is really striking and like Nester, I really appreciate the B&Ws. Bravo! 6x7 has great tonality, so creamy.

Here are my favs.

This is actually hard for me because I really don't love any of my images. None the less, here are some I like....

I love the emotion that I got here. This was at an anti health care protest. ME SUPER, M40F/2.8, Ilford XP2

Here was one from my first roll of Velvia, so it has a special place for me, especially since I got all wet for the shot.
ME-F, Tokina 17mm, Velvia 50

This was more of an emotional series for me. It opened my eyes further and really feel that film trully brings out the emotion of these images.

Canon AE-1 with FD28F/2.8 and Fuji XTRA 400

I did end up playing chess with this fellow. He was pretty dang good!

The suit walking by added irony to this life image

I ended up buying lunch for this guy.

These two go together...A very heart breaking scene...
Here was a lady reading the common book book of prayer with a plaque that reads ''home sweet home''...These where all her belongings as she got evicted and thrown to the curb...

Canon AE-1, FD28F/2.8, Fuji 400 xtra

And my favorite

This image, I consider one of my best ever...I was done shooting for the day at the beach when I saw this couple perfectly framed from the back window of my truck...I pulled out my Spotmatic with loaded with Ilford XP-2 and shooting through my 35mm Super tak....A lucky shot? perhaps, but it is still my fav and this rounds out my top 10

Sluggo, really first-rate images...you MF guys are really giving me a case of "size envy" .

Javier, nice to see you post here, too, and to see this thread catching on. I think it's a great idea and fun to see which shots people pick to post here; particularly shots they've posted elsewhere on the forum. It gives an added sense of what's important to them as photographers. Your last image of the couple out your truck's rear window is really amazing - excellent choice for a "grande finale".

Best to all,
Kevin

As always sublime and strong work, Javier.
And the couple out of your truck's rear window really takes the price

I hope you fellows don't mind if I post my images here. Maybe I can soak up some of your awesomeness by osmosis

Taken May 2009 with Pentax ME Super and Kodak 800 film. A bit overexposed, but one of my favorite film shots from the cathedral trip.

From the same trip, K1000 with Takumar 28-80 and Kodak BW400CN C-41 process black and white film.

My friend Luke, being pensive.

More to come! I have a lot of film shots that haven't been flickerized yet.
