let's all confuse the man with our opinions.yes asa 400-800 would be a fine it b&w or color.

400asa should be adequate babies don't get around too quickly on their own, most rooms have a window unless they plan only on taking photos at night with closed windows? fuji nph 400 or kodak 400 nc are "pro" rated films but if they get their prints from the drugstore normal consumer film should be fine and the drugstore's machine prints should be good if they have their channels set right.
