Throw some vinyl on the table...pour a Jack on the rocks...now that's a fun way to do a hobby

I need another interslice kit...

On the desk now is a Sears TLS which I might not bother with...a Yashica MG-1 with somewhat unresponsive meter...and an Olympus Trip 35 that needs a complete teardown. Oh yeah

What is the condition of the TLS? Should you not want to bother with it, it might want to scavenge it for a few parts.

Thanks for the tip!

I've changed seals on quite a few cameras, and put new skins on two cameras, so far my best work is still this MX:

The feel of the new skin is so smooth and tender, way better than the over 30 years old (but still in mint condition) stock skin.

Frank, that is one beautiful camera. It reminds me of a brown K1000SE I had for a few years. Hmmmm

Thanks It is a beautiful camera, and it feels even better in hands. I don't use it to take photos though (mostly use LX), but I still take it out of the dry cabinet and play it almost every other day.

Wow thats quite the piece Frank!

Gah I'm missing my MX already. Slipped the neckstrap and the camera hurtled to the ground and I lost a 50/1.4 and totalled the shutter on my MX. Its on its way to Eric as I speak.

Thanks Sorry about your MX, but I'm sure Eric can bring it back to life again...

That's a pretty little MX, Frank.

I'd like to imagine that I will actually run film through mine, though.
...still waiting on the Navy Blue skins....

That ought to look real nice, I'd think. Chrome body?

My apologies for not following up with a pic.

I did a bit of a botch job on the leathers - totally my fault - but they sent me a new piece at no extra charge!
Very generous of CameraLeather.com to do so, I might add!

So, even though I haven't properly attached the replacement piece you get an idea of the colour.

Subtle, but very nice. I like it!

Here it is.

That blue looks real nice. What does the material feel like (hard/soft, slick/grippy, thick/thin)? I have been thinking of re-skinning my Yashica Lynx 1000 rangefinder with the Deep Jade composite leather.

Very nice...I'll be looking into one of these leathers for a future camera body purchase.
